Yesterday at church we followed President Monson's suggestion and made donations to the General Temple Patron Assistance Fund. With a gift to Grandma and Grandpa in mind, the kids earned money by doing extra chores. They had fun thinking about where their money would go. Makai hopes his donation can help a family in Africa get to the temple. Tevi just wants to go see the temple lights. :)

Camie took us to Coronado Beach  -- The kids had a fantastic time and Camie & I loved soaking up the rays and watching the kidos dance in and out of the water! Sunday afternoon dog-pile on a napping Dad Tevi playing with his favorite doll Ariel (who is wearing a dress created by Ame) Makai and his friend Gideon won 1st Place in their second grade science fair. Yesterday Nina gave a talk in Primary. She was nervous, but all her practice paid off--she did a great job. When we got home from church, she humored me by giving her talk one last time. She was pretty much over it by then, but you can imagine how cute she was up at the microphone. And yes, she has lost her two bottom teeth.

Over the holiday weekend in January, Aki and I made a quick trip down to the "Land of Enchantment" to visit the folks. We enjoyed the slow pace, seeing the sun again, and visiting with Mom and Dad. The kids had such a fun Christmas. Nina & Satchy are spending the night at our house tonight.  My kids are so happy to have them here - they have been playing non-stop.  They just watched Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer and now they are acting like they are Santa's reindeer.
