San Diego harbor cruise after lunch on the boardwalk.
Here we are in front of the Star of India, part of the Maritime Museum.
There were lots of lovely sailboats in the harbor.
Ol' Tevster had to have his post-lunch nap (and Ame was sad I wouldn't buy her the ridiculously expensive treats for sale).
Following the tour/presentation, they had some activities for kids out in the courtyard. Here is Ame panning for gold.
Tevi pumping the water
Makai retrieving water from the well. (The missionary host was fantastic...fit the part perfectly.)
Ame learning how the adobe bricks were made.
The top of the visitors' center had great views of Old Town.
We dined at Jimmy Carter's Mexican restaurant there in Old Town (why it's named that, I don't know). The food we had was great...I would have been happy with only the chips and salsa!
Beautiful San Diego temple. That is a sight to see when you're driving on the freeway...it seems to pop up out of nowhere!

Wow! Fabulous pictures. They make me want to go see the Mormon Battalion monument and visitors' center. The temple is breathtaking. Thank you, Lindy, for posting those pictures
We went down to the harbor too. I wish we could have gone on all the old ships--that would have been fascinating. (The kids wouldn't have thought so, though.) We did do the ferry ride, and they had fun on the boat. The Mormon Battalion place looks awesome! Something to do on our next journey to Sandy Diego (as Satchel calls it).
